Join Us for the Earth Day Expo!
Something powerful is taking shape in Brighton, and you’re invited to be part of it!
On Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Livingston County Habitat for Humanity ReStore is hosting a family friendly Earth Day Expo where everyday actions create lasting change.
This isn’t just an event—it’s a hands-on opportunity to turn what you no longer need into something meaningful. Every item recycled and every donation made fuels safe, affordable housing and critical home repairs for our neighbors across Livingston County.
Make an Impact—Bring Your Recyclables:
Help us keep materials out of landfills by bringing the following items for responsible processing:

-
Latex Paint: $2/gallon or $10/5-gallon (water-based only, original containers).
-
Metals: Copper, aluminum, steel, wire, and more.
-
Paper: Mail, magazines, office, and shredded paper.
-
Specialty Items: Eyeglasses and batteries.
-
Bottle & Can Drive: Simple returns that yield meaningful results.

Event Highlights:
Beyond recycling, enjoy a day filled with:

-
Vibrant Vendor Booths: Featuring local partners and sustainability experts.
-
Children’s Activities: Including our community coloring contest and more.
-
ReStore Treasures: Shop for home goods, appliances, and building materials ready for a second life with event special offers and games!

Habitat for Humanity is first and foremost a non-profit builder with the mission of creating safe, decent and affordable housing for families in need in Livingston County. We do this in a partnership with families to provide "a hand up, not a hand out", and allow the purchase of a home and/or maintenance they would otherwise be unable to afford. Experience shows these opportunities are life changing for the families with which we partner.
